Robert's Story
A Journey of Commitment
Robert Glegg, Founder, Families for Courtroom Integrity, is a strong, confident, yet sympathetic figure whose resilience and integrity shine through his personal and professional achievements. Robert lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
From Business Leader to Custody Justice Champion
Robert Glegg’s journey from successful entrepreneur to passionate advocate for custody justice began with his personal battle against a deeply flawed legal system.
Robert Glegg's professional career began in Montreal, where he obtained degrees in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from McGill University. At 26, he founded Glegg Water Conditioning, which grew into a global leader in ultra-pure water systems for the semiconductor industry before being sold to General Electric.
Professional Success
Despite his professional success, Robert faced immense personal challenges. In 2014, after a painful separation, his daughter Olivia was unlawfully taken by her mother to Florida, despite court orders granting Robert sole custody. This marked the beginning of a long and painful custody battle, exposing significant flaws in the legal system and highlighting the loophole that prevents parents from suing for custodial interference.
The Beginning of His Struggles
Determined to protect Olivia and other children from similar injustices, Robert engaged in numerous legal battles. He uncovered systemic corruption and judicial misconduct, facing relentless opposition and legal manipulations. His fight to regain custody of his daughter involved multiple lawsuits, revealing the critical need for legal reform to prevent parental alienation.
The Fight for Custody Justice
Throughout his journey, Robert demonstrated unwavering resilience and integrity. His relentless pursuit of justice led to the founding of Families for Custodial Justice. This organization is dedicated to changing unjust laws and protecting the rights of custodial parents and their children. Robert’s story is a testament to his commitment to fairness, transparency, and the fight against systemic injustices, driving the foundation's mission to reform the legal landscape for families nationwide.
Resilience and Integrity
From Business Leader to Courtroom Reform Champion
Robert’s transition from successful entrepreneur to passionate advocate for courtroom reform in Ontario began when he witnessed the horrific impact on his daughter and himself as a custodial parent due to incompetence and corruption in the Ontario court system.
Professional Success
Robert obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from McGill University in Montreal. At 26, he founded Glegg Water Conditioning, Inc., which he grew into a global leader in ultra-pure water systems for the semiconductor industry over 22 years and then sold it to General Electric, Inc. for $100 million.
Legal Battles
The thing that turned Robert’s case into a 10-year, multi-million-dollar legal saga was materially false statements made intentionally by lawyers for Justice for Children & Youth (“JFCY”, a branch of the Ontario legal system). A document containing these false facts was submitted by them and accepted by the court. This triggered a complicated series of legal events that continue today.
